FLORIDA BUSINESS LITIGATION

We represent small businesses and individuals when they are sued in court, or need to sue another party in court, relating to their business and commercial activities.

“Business Litigation” is the practice of law dealing with the legal problems arising from commercial and business relationships including litigation of controversies arising from those relationships.  Florida business litigation includes evaluating, handling and resolving such controversies before state courts, federal courts, administrative agencies, mediators, and arbitrators that arise under the common and statutory laws of Florida.

Private individuals, as well as business entities, can have a Florida business litigation issue. A dispute may arise between an individual and a business, and between two business entities. If the dispute arises between an individual or legal entity of another state and a Florida resident or Florida entity where the matter in controversy exceeds the sum or value of $75,000, a claim of that nature may be brought in one of the federal courts with jurisdiction over Florida, such as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, which is the federal United States district court with jurisdiction over the southern part of Florida.

In the webpages that follow, we discuss the types of Florida business litigation cases that McRae Law Firm handles.
